E-waste is a big problem. Not just for plant and animal health, but for human health as well. E-waste describes electronics that are old, not functioning properly, or are nearing the end of their life. They have toxic chemicals in them that eventually end up in our water and the atmosphere that, if inhaled, can give humans respiratory or cardiovascular issues. They can also be dangerous in our groundwater. A good way to prevent this is to reuse parts or fix up newer devices and give them to those in need. That’s where organizations like Free Geek come in!
